Description Technical Specs   Although named a “Chardonnay” in the Bottega del Vino line, and primarily for whites, the BV05 also provides a fitting presentation for many Bordeaux and you should feel comfortable using it for this purpose. Also, for those customers who desire one glass, for reds and white wines, the BV05 Chardonnay is recommended.  Capacity: 23⅜ oz. If the wine matters, so does the glass™ - it’s that simple. Bottega del Vino crystal provides the perfect balance between tactile pleasure and everyday practicality, unmatched by any other stem!   Features Difference between Lead Crystal and Bottega del Vino Crystal Lead Crystal The type of glass produced when lime in the batch is replaced by lead oxide. The composition of lead crystal is 54-65% silicon dioxide (SiO2), 18-38% lead oxide (PbO), 13-15% soda (Na2O) or potash (K2O), and other oxides. Such glass has a high refractive index and is particularly suited for decoration by cutting. Barium Oxide Barium oxide derived from BaCO3 (witherite) is used principally in optical and crystal glass instead of lime or red lead. Glass which contains barium is lighter than lead crystal but gives comparable brilliance due to its high refractive index. This proprietary Crystal formulation ensures that your stems are a miracle of lightness and balance, yet they are NOT fragile. The safest way to wash them is in the dishwasher.
