Description   A 1970's post-modern twist, this teakettle has a uniquel shape, features a flat, thin stainless steel bottom that heats water 50% faster than traditional kettles. Design-wise, the Ottoni Water Kettle was our contribution to the post modernism of the 70's. It uses historic modernist symbolism with references to the idioms of old time Mississippi steamboats. It was our way to add a good deal of humor and fun to the "less is more" design attitude. Although it is one of the more decorative designs by Bodum, its quality is still the highest. The kettle's body is made of 18/10 hand polished stainless steel. The mahogany wood handle is a laminate of several layers and glued with waterproof glue.
